Nov. 28th - Okay, I totally lied. Not on purpose, mind you, but I said I was only taking on the cut out style portraits for commission until the holidays and that wasn't true. Only because I totally forgot that I have to raise extra money for David's gift this year lol. Not that I forgot David! I just.... didn't think about it is all >>;

Nov. 21st - I normally respond to the phrase "'Tis the Season" by adding, "For stress" because generally, this is the most stressful time of year for many of us. It's always been my favorite time of year though - the period between Thanksgiving and New Years, despite the stress.

The holidays are barreling towards us this year, faster than ever it seems. And for the first time in....maybe ever... I'm just not feeling stressed at all. Maybe that is a certain kind of freedom that comes with the financial woes that have burdened us all lately. Not having the money to spend means not worrying about how or when to spend it!

Things have really been looking up for me lately *knocks on wood*. I feel like I'm in an upwards swing finally and it's nice. I've been making progress on art again and I feel good about drawing. I probably won't make another entry until after Thanksgiving so... to those who celebrate it - have a great Thanksgiving

I'm also limiting the kind of commissions I'm taking on. This is the only type of work I'll be taking on until after the holidays or perhaps longer. I've included a new style of commission in there.

Oct. 15th - I really feel like life is kicking me in the proverbial balls lately! We were in fact disconnected from the net, but got it back up again and then not even 8 hours after that, our cable modem died lol. Luckily, we got it replaced by the company very quickly.

No in depth stories about my financial status right now but we are still looking for work. Suffice to say, I'm really tired of eating ramen, so any commissions are appreciated! I know I'm not very quick at finishing them, but they ALWAYS have my best effort in them and they always WILL get finished.

Yesterday was my 3 year wedding anniversary (though we've been together for over 11 years now), and we were too broke to do anything special, but we spent the day with one another and just enjoyed spending time together

I've also been meaning to update that we had a very special gift from my brother last week. My brother and his wife were very sweet and have been trying to help me heal from my loss of Logan, and they surprised us with a puppy on the 8th! It was very shocking and very touching. They even gave us money to deal with his puppy shots His name is Frodo and he's a Chug or a Pughuahua (Pug and Chihuahua mix). He's quite a handful! Here's a picture of him - [link]



Oct. 12th - I am FINALLY pretty much over the flu. It feels great to feel fine after being that sick. Anyways, just an update to say that I may disappear for a while as it is likely that my internet will be shut off. Times are tough and that's just how it's going for me lately. I am hopeful that it will only be for a few days, but if you cannot get ahold of me, that's why. I am still taking on some limited commission styles (see below) and as always, appreciate any work I can get right now. I will also be resuming work on my current commissions today.

October 5th - I've gotten quite a few emails and notes sent to me in the last few days wondering where I am and what is going on with me or my work progress. I'm truly sorry to make anyone worry about me, I know I've been absent in all my usual online haunts but my intention was never to make people worry that something was wrong.

The truth is long and boring and can be summed up by just saying that I'm going through a lot right now and mentally and emotionally I am not all together at the moment. I've also been very ill for the last week with some sort of flu and I'm still recovering from it. A lack of emotional well-being coupled with physical illness has put a real damper on my desire to draw - or to do anything honestly.

I have no intentions of NOT doing the jobs I've been hired to do. I know that some people have been waiting a long time and I am very sorry for that. I appreciate the patience I've been shown for so long. As always, anyone who would like to be refunded will be refunded as soon as it is possible for me (which will not be immediately given my financial status at the moment, but it will be as soon as I am able to), please just contact me if this is what you'd like to have done.

In the meantime, I am trying to force myself to draw again. I think I will be over this flu finally in another day or two and then hopefully back to the arting and commission progress.

This is a very stressful time for me right now, and I appreciate the support and understanding I've received. Please don't be surprised if my communication is not on par - I'm still here and will still be available to answer any emails or notes so don't hesitate to contact me if you need to. Thanks for the understanding.

September 15th - I gotta say, after the summer I've had, I'll be pleased to say that it's officially over in a week. I am still trying to deal with the loss of Logan, which has been harder than I ever anticipated. I miss him every day and some days are better than others.

My birthday was yesterday and I turned 30, which was a bit of a difficult birthday for me. Regardless, I had a nice day and received some lovely birthday wishes and even some nice gifts.

I am drawing again, after not doing much of that for a few weeks. I hope to have some significant progress in commissions in the next few weeks. Some you will see posted here and some you won't! Speaking of which, you may notice that some older images were cleaned out of my gallery. There were images in there still from 2001, and I think it was just high time to say goodbye to them. I also cleaned out past journal entries since there was no reason to have them (none of them were pertinent any longer).

I'm trying to keep my chin up and look forward to what will hopefully be better days ahead of me. In the meantime, I'm still taking on commissions (prices for what I have available are listed below).
